Running lovers have an appointment on Saturday June 29, 2024 with the 10K Alboraya against cancer. With the motto ‘May the Force be with you‘, will be the 11th edition and will fill the sporting afternoon in the town with light, color and solidarity.

Organized by the Alboraya City Council in collaboration with the Local Board against Cancer, Xufarunners Alboraya and Socarrat Studio, the XI 10K Alboraya against cancer will bring together participants of all ages, from 16 years old.

Once again, there will be a fully approved circuit, by the RFEA, of 10,000 meters, to which all participants who wish will have access. A fast and professional route that attracts runners from all over the country.

Aspects to consider

The maximum duration of the test for each participant will be 80 minutes from the start, allowing a single start for all athletes who, in turn, will be separated by boxes depending on the time established in the registration.

As a general rule, the checkout box is automatically assigned based on the intended brand indicated in the registration process. However, if the athlete wanted to start from a slower box, he could do so without the need for changes of any kind.

Registration deadlines are open until Wednesday, June 26. The current registration fee is 12 euros without runner’s bag and of 15 euros with runner’s bag. For runners who register simultaneously as Club with more than 10 members, the price will be 10 euros with the runner’s bag in any section.

As a novelty, there will be a maximum limit of 2,000 numbers available, of which a maximum of 1,500 numbers will be with a runner’s bag.

The numbers are personal and non-transferable, with a personal control chip for each participant. At all times, the route will be duly signposted by the Organization, with three liquid refreshment stations (when passing through kilometer 2.5, kilometer 5 and kilometer 7.5, in addition to the one enabled after the finish line).

The classification

The Alboraya 10K Against Cancer Organization will focus on six classifications, with a trophy for the first three finishers, both men and women. General (all participants), SAUB-25 (from 16 to 24 years old), Master 40 (from 40 to 49 years old), Master 50 (from 50 to 59 years old), Master 60 (from 60 years and older). There will also be a category enabled for Locals (registered in Alboraya).

Bib collection

The bibs, runner’s bag and technical clothing can be collected on Friday, June 28 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. coinciding with the Horchata Party, located in the Ciutat de l’Esport. You can also pick up your bib number, bag and t-shirt on Saturday, June 29 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Ciutat de l’Esport, next to the starting area.

Full support for the runner

All participants in the 10K Alboraya against cancer are covered by an accident and civil liability insurance policy, contracted by the Spanish Association against Cancer.

Additionally, on the day of the race, there will be a free cloakroom servicelocated in the Sports City on San Isidro Labrador Street in Alboraya.

The following services stand out for the corridor: parking, entertainment, supplies, ‘Horchata Party’, cloakroom, changing room and showers.

The supportive background

The 11th edition of the 10K Alboraya against cancer also offers the possibility of making a solidarity registration DORSAL 0; for those people who do not want to run but who do want to collaborate financially with the Cancer Association. The prices enabled in this case will be 3 euros without a broker’s bag and 6 euros with a broker’s bag.

Horchata Party

On Friday, June 28, 2024, you will be able to collect your number starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Horchata Party, located in the Ciutat de l’Esport.

In addition to the bib pick-up service, you will be able to see the different collaborators’ stands and participate in the dance masterclass.

The main activity on Friday will be a non-competitive Mini10K that will take place at the municipal soccer field at 7:00 p.m. Various races will be held depending on the age of the participants. All children will wear number 1 for only €3 and €5 with a t-shirt, which will go to the local Alboraya cancer board.

• 6:00 p.m.: Collection of numbers and collective dance classes.

• 7:00 p.m.: Non-competitive children’s races.

• 7:15 p.m.: Sports activities (Football and Basketball).

There will be a solidarity point of sale for horchata and fartons Polo, the proceeds of which will go to the Local Board Against Cancer of Alboraya.

The 2023 edition of 10K Alboraya against cancer

In the X 10K Alboraya against cancer, held last year, the general classification was as follows: Joshua García Galán (00:33:17), Hugo Monfort (00:33:18) and Alejandro Benages Ibáñez (00:33 :27).

Regarding the women’s general classification, the order was: Patricia Rodríguez Calvo (00:41:04), Alba López Pons (00:41:13) and Yolanda González Fernández (00:42:32).

The event with sport and solidarity will take place in the Valencian town of Alboraya on June 29. It is expected that the participation figures of the last edition held will be exceeded and that it will be a festive day, at the same time that it will serve as a method of raising awareness for thousands of people, starting with the little ones.
