Built in three years

Built on a plot of nearly 7,000 m² at 2 Allée Cassiopée, the curved building on three levels (R + 2) provides 3,000 m² of space dedicated to health. It has a car park with 146 free and private spaces and accessibility for people with reduced mobility.

The 40 lots are occupied by 55 practitioners, nearly 70% of whom own their premises, and around fifteen assistants complete the medical center's workforce.

Client, Aedifim Santé is the branch specializing in the construction of health centers of the Bayonne real estate developer Aedifim, created in 2015 (see box below). Its president, Pascal Thibaut, welcomed the deadline for this achievement: three years. “This is still too long a period for professionals who want to set up quickly, but quite short for this type of project started with a blank sheet,” he argued.

Eventually served by the T4 bus line

He then thanked Mayor Nicolas Patriarche for his help in all stages of the project. The latter subsequently explained that “installing such equipment here was a real challenge”. An ambition that he wanted as “a signal” for the northern entrance to the city and that he is happy to inaugurate. A mayor all the more satisfied since no euro from the municipality was paid into this operation.

The Perlic pharmacy has also been installed in the new building, the mayor of Lons, also president of the Pau Béarn Pyrénées Mobilités joint union, indicates that the T4 bus line will be extended to here in order to make it “a strong district of the municipality”. For the mixed union, the cost of this line extension will be 100,000 euros.

On site, general practitioners, dentists, nurses, a pharmacy, an analysis laboratory, as well as multiple medical specialties

Gilles Omel, designer of the project, returned to the work carried out “in confidence with all the partners, from the design to the construction of the building”, and welcomed the occupancy rate of the car park since its opening. .

The health center offers a complementary approach between primary care (general practitioners, dentists, nurses, radiology, cardiology, angiologist), paramedical care (analysis laboratory, pharmacy, hearing aid specialist, optician, orthodontist) as well as a autonomy platform oriented towards prevention and rehabilitation (muscle-motor system specialists, physiotherapist, osteopath, podiatrist, orthoptist, psychomotor therapist).

Ossau also offers specialties related to women, childhood, adolescence and obesity: psychiatrist, gynecologist, psychomotor therapist, physiotherapists and osteopaths specializing in perinatal, pre and postpartum, psychologists, orthoptists, speech therapists, dietitian -nutritionist.

Mini-crèche and daycare

The center also benefits from a common room with terrace used for meetings, training and advanced consultation by specialist doctors and external surgeons, as well as a mini-crèche which welcomes the children of health professionals on a daily basis and 'a daycare for patients.

All of the work was carried out by local companies. Including the vast wooden staircase in the shape of DNA, symbol of the site, which is the work of a local craftsman.

“An original method for designing health centers”

“Facilitate access to care and improve its quality”, “better coordinate care pathways and cooperation between health professionals”, “support new practices”, “fight against medical deserts…” So many words spoken by the speakers during this inauguration evening.
They also underlined that “health centers or health centers are of increasing interest to practitioners, who aspire to work in a network with appropriate technical means, just like municipalities and local authorities who seek to develop a health offer at the closer to the inhabitants.
It is to respond to this growing demand that Aedifim Santé has developed “an original method for designing health centers, in close collaboration with practitioners and in touch with the challenges of each territory concerned”. “Creating a health center requires bringing together and listening to health professionals in order to design a specific project and then implement it by meeting technical challenges and meeting the requirements of each medical practice,” underlined Cécile Delahaye. , Aedifim Santé project manager. “Practitioners define their way of working and it is on this basis that we design each practice or laboratory, delivered turnkey. We always make sure to only have medical practitioners and professions in our health centers and to ensure the complementarity of specialties. »
