Earlier this year, Samsung established the era of mobile AI with the launch of the Galaxy S24 series, and pledged to introduce Galaxy AI[1] on a wider range of devices. True to this promise, Samsung now brings Galaxy AI to the Galaxy Watch, enhancing its popular health features. By combining powerful on-device AI with the extensive Samsung Health app, Samsung is on its way to creating some of the most personalized and safe health experiences to date.
Advanced intelligence for a more holistic vision and motivation
Samsung is on a mission to deliver an advanced health and wellness experience, starting with using meaningful, actionable insights to help you better understand your health patterns. Now, by combining Galaxy AI with Samsung Health, new health features will give you more comprehensive health information, along with motivational stimuli, to help you improve your daily well-being. With Energy Score (Energy Score)[2]you can get a better understanding of your daily health status through a combined analysis of personal health metrics, such as average sleep hours, regularity of sleep hours, regularity of bedtimes and wake-up times, sleep schedule, previous day’s activity, heart rate during sleep, and heart rate variability[3] to help you face the day.
Greater precision and accuracy
Accuracy and completeness of health metrics are critical to delivering the best smart health experiences. Improved health algorithms and advanced tracking tools will provide more holistic, personalized and actionable information when combined with AI. Since good health begins with a good night’s rest, Samsung is improving our sleep AI algorithm to provide additional in-depth information about sleep. Newly added sleep indicators for Sleep Insights They give you a more detailed and accurate analysis of your sleep quality so you can better understand your sleep patterns and develop better habits. These added metrics include the movement during sleep, sleep latency, heart rate and respiratory rate during sleepin addition to previously supported metrics such as snoring hours, blood oxygen level, and sleep cycle.
New fitness features offer smart, effortless measurements of physical capacity for more personalized training, traditionally provided by highly advanced equipment. In addition to the five Personalized Health Rate Zone running intensity levels, new detailed Aerobic Threshold (AT) / Anaerobic Threshold (AnT) of the Heart Rate Zone[5] They help you run efficiently while quickly analyzing performance. Additionally, cyclists can easily calculate performance metrics. Functional Threshold Power (FTP) in just 10 minutes[6] and train like a pro using a personalized power index based on AI data analysis to maximize performance. Fitness tracking tools also help you monitor workouts and progress more conveniently. With the new function Workout Routine (training routine), combine multiple exercises for a personalized workout and move on to the next exercise without interruption. Stay motivated and track your running or cycling progress using race[7]which compares current and past performance on the same routes.
“By expanding the power of Galaxy AI across our ecosystem, we aim to unlock all new possibilities with streamlined, connected experiences that offer users greater personalization and intelligence,” said June Park, Vice President and Head of Product Planning Team. of the Galaxy Ecosystem, MX Business at Samsung Electronics. “The addition of Galaxy AI to Galaxy Watch is just the beginning of this process and we are excited to show off even more integrations across our Galaxy portfolio very soon.”
These new features will be available on the upcoming Galaxy Watch line through One UI 6 Watch, available later this year. A limited number of Galaxy Watch users will have early access to the beta program[8] starting in June. This is just a small sample of what we have in store for our users, and we look forward to showcasing the full power of Galaxy AI when integrated with the advanced hardware upgrades coming to the new Galaxy Watch series. Stay tuned to find out more.
