Tout savoir sur la Complémentaire santé solidaire en Haute-Loire

The Primary Health Insurance Fund (CPAM) has just launched a hotline to provide information and support requests for free mutual insurance or for less than €1 per day.

Complementary health insurance is complementary health coverage, in force since November 1, 2019, allowing people with modest resources to benefit from coverage of their health expenses.

It guarantees quality health protection, at no or limited cost, to all its beneficiaries.

14,441
The number of beneficiaries in the Solidarity Supplementary Health Department: 9,923 people benefit without participation and 4,518 with participation.

“Too many policyholders do not request to benefit from this benefit even though it constitutes real support for covering their health costs,” underlines the director of Health Insurance, Frédéric Brance. Potential beneficiaries are young people under the age of 25, those benefiting from social assistance for children, people with disabilities via the AAH (Allocation for disabled adults), job seekers, beneficiaries of RSA (Active Solidarity Income), self-employed workers, etc. However, certain active workers can also request it; this is particularly the case for poor workers in the construction, home delivery and even temporary employment and personal services sectors. “If companies have the obligation to offer their employees complementary health insurance, eligible workers have the right to suspend it and subscribe to the Solidarity Supplementary Health Insurance,” specifies Frédéric Brance.

A dedicated hotline

The aim of setting up a hotline (06.60.85.41.86) is therefore to identify potentially eligible insured persons who are unaware of it in order to facilitate their access to rights and care. CPAM undertakes to call back within 72 hours at the latest. The request can also be made online: to do this, simply log in to your ameli account, “my procedures” section.

To find out if you are eligible for Supplementary Solidarity Health, an online simulator is available from the Health Insurance website (ameli.fr).

In short

How to benefit from Supplementary Solidarity Health? Or free of charge for people whose annual resources are less than €9,719 for a single person. Or in return for a financial contribution to people whose annual resources are less than €13,120 for a single person. This financial compensation does not exceed one euro per day and per person.

For what guarantees? In addition to reimbursement of the additional portion, it fully covers “100% health” baskets (hearing aids, dental prostheses and prescription glasses) and many other medical materials and equipment. In the event of hospitalization for more than 24 hours, the daily rate is covered without time limit. It waives the need to advance health costs. Beneficiaries are exempt from any flat-rate contribution on medical consultations or procedures, radiology examinations, medical analyses, and from the medical franchise on medicines, paramedical procedures and medical transport.
